I've been reminiscing about what a wonderful summer I had. One of the highlights (there were so many!) was a class I took from Jean Formo at the International Calligraphy Conference. It was called "Organically Yours...Drawn Letters from Art Nouveau." It was such a wonderful class!
We started working with the "whiplash line" of Art Nouveau...
and then applied it to various styles of letters using graphite & colored pencil...
and then period colors and brought everything together...
One more piece I did in the class was a monogram for myself...
